Very unique collection of Sarees

It has been long I could not write any post.As usual I was busy with jewelry  designing.
Today is my son's birthday , so taken off for all my activities. Thought of browsing for latest design trends in sarees. My eyes stuck in this website http://www.jomso.com/ . This is an online shop for all the Indian Ethnic wear. All the varieties of ethnic dress , starting from Sarees ,  Salwar Suits , Lehangas , many more to satisfy lover of Indian Ethnic wear.

As I'm crazy about saree, I browsed through some of the sarees.All the designs are amazing.
I saw this red saree with silver color border, this just stuck my eyes.

Some more very attractive sarees in party wear category , one more Peach Georgette Saree with fancy Shimmer Gold border and comes with  Peach Blouse piece.

These designs made me to browse more, as I love embroidered saree, I thought of browsing through some lehangas and bridal wear sarees. Those are also mesmerizing.

History repeats - One more mile stone in life

Some of my readers must have read about my craze about artificial jewellery  making which I started last year on my Birthday last year(29th Nov) .
The journey with hand crafted jewelry making was going on steadily. I used to make many earrings , necklaces and few bracelets. Due to my busy schedule I could not concentrate on my orders.
Now some circumstances made me to change the name of my jewelry  collections, and I have named it now as Pranjalika Collections on 29th Nov this year(That's on my birthday:)). Sharing some of the designs from Pranjalika Collections here:

Gombe Habba Part 2- The Gombe habba I visited- continued

Already I have written two posts about Gombe habba. In last post I have written about the Gombe habba I visited this year. This is the continuation of the last post as I could not share all the images in the last post.
I had shared only about the the dolls arranged surrounding the central arrangements of dolls. Here is the centrally arranged dolls in steps:

 The closer view,you can see many dolls of different Gods and Goddesses, in different sizes.

Both the sides dolls arranged very artistically :

The below doll of Shri Chamundeshwari is very beautiful. This is nearly 35 years old and still has that charm.

Even I liked this idol of Sharada, isn't the smile on the face mesmerising?

There were many more dolls , I could capture photos of some . Here are those:

And the Rangoli in front of the dolls was also very artistic.

The complete arrangement was done very meticulously. Everywhere I could recognize the interest and  passion.
Oh! Forgot, the below is the one which attracted me. The traditional bell, with my favorite Krishna on it :-)

Gombe Habba Part 2- The Gombe habba I visited

Sorry , I'm  late in writing this post. I really feel this should have been shared with you during Dasara. As I was busy (as usual same excuse :-)) , I could not.
I have already shared about some unique dolls . In this post sharing about the Gombe Habba I visited this year. Knowing that I'm crazy about this festival,one of my friends , Divya took me to visit  Gombe habba , at her relative's house. I should thank her for this.
The hospitality I received at the house was very nice. The host took us to a big hall , where many dolls were arranged very artistically.
When I entered the hall, I could see my favorite Krishna Idol, decorated with plants around it. I felt Krishna is waiting in Brindavan for his Radha.

 

Next was Gouri and Ganesha.

 

Both the sides you can see procession carrying God in Chariots.Here is the closer view:

 

 

Here is the set of cute dolls which are depicting Hindu marriage ceremony:

 Don't you think, the couple looks made for each other?

Here is the beautiful view of Kailasa Parvata , with Lord Shiva and Parvati.Isn't that giving divine feeling?

 These are all the decoration made surrounding. The arrangement of dolls made in the centre had many beautiful and cute dolls. About those, I will share in the next post,

Gombe Habba Part 1- Unique dolls displayed in an exhibition

Gombe Habba, is the festival celebrated during Navaratri,especially in Bangalore and Mysore region. I have already written about Gombe habba in my previous posts.

I'm always enthusiastic to write about the Gombe habba( festival of dolls) . This year I have a lot to write about dolls. In this first post sharing images of unique dolls . These pictures was shared by my friend, with her permission sharing with you.

The below are the replica of Mysore Palace, with Dasara procession in front of the palace.

 

This is wood replica  of Jayachamarajendra Circle in Mysore.

 Idol of Goddess  . You can see cute little elephants with Ambari.

 Chamundeshwari on Pallakki.

 This is very cute one. Replica of the famous throne , made of Papermache, with king sitting on it.

Madhubani Art( Mithila Art) -Art from an ancient city

Madhubani  (painting) art form originated from ancient Indian city Mithila.
This was originated as wall art, means paintings were drawn by the women of Mithila to decorate walls of the houses. Nowadays these are practised on silk, cotton and handmade papers. Colors are natural colors.This is painted with fingers, twine brush, nib pen, match sticks etc.
The motifs normally used in Madhubani paintings are mythological figures, Rama, Sita, Krishna, Radha etc. The motifs are also influenced by nature, so include Lotus, flowers, fish ,snakes etc.
I would love to visit Mithila once to meet the artists there. Recently I could meet a Madhubani artist in a art exhibition. Captured the images of the paintings, to share with you.

This one has painting of Rama , Sita and Laxmana  in forest. So the motifs of peacock , Sun and Deer can be seen there.

The prominent features of  this painting are bright colors and minute black lines to highlight the design. This painting is made only in black color:

Now Madhubani painting is done on clothes also. Blend of colors like Orange, Red,Green, Yellow , Blue etc highlighted with fine lines in Black color makes the painting really lively.

Saree designing with screen printing- For sale

I have designed  many sarees , most of the time according to customer's suggestions. I have used the color combinations they have suggested. This is the one I have used the color combination of my choice .
The saree is fine cotton saree with two shades, Maroon and Green. As the shades have covered half of the length, so I have used big motifs along the border.
The motif I have used is :

 

The motif has two Apsaras (Angels)dancing and a pair of peacock on top of them. 

The motifs along the border looks like this :

And this has attached blouse, on which I printed paisley design on both the side :

 I loved the green and maroon combination. Hope the Gold color motifs good on that, which goes well with Maroon as well as Green, making the saree very traditional.
